America Fashion Haul

Admittedly, it has taken me a while to post these, but uni work has had me snowed under a little...

As some of you may be aware, I went to America about a month ago. Whilst I posted a few of my favourite beauty products that I picked up, I haven't showed you some of my favourite fashion buys. After struggling at home trying to take full outfit photos myself, with only a tripod, and a timer to hand, I finally got back to uni, where my lovely housemate, Laura stepped in to help. So cue a Sunday afternoon messing around in my room playing dress up.

One thing I have discovered from this is the extent of how bad my resting bitch face really is. Moving on from that however is my new all time favourite dress. Anyone who knows me will be able to tell you my complete and utter obsession with anything sparkly. Seriously, I'm like a magpie. So after searching high and low for sequinned dresses in England with no luck (sequins+boobs= not a chance), I discovered this beautiful number in Forever 21. F21 is my all time favourite shop and this dress is so perfect. The bodycon shape fits my figure so well and the way the blue sequins change to green in the right light just makes me so happy. This gets a 10/10 in my book, and I will be making use of it for every single special occasion from now on.

This is another F21 find (I should just rename this post F21 haul because to be honest that's where I spent most of my time.) I really love the colour of this, and with my hair returning to blonde, and about to go silver - more details on that soon - I've been looking to add more colour back into my wardrobe. This dress is really perfect for more formal occasions and the peplum shape looks great on my figure.

Like I said before, I really need more colour in my wardrobe, and as a massive fan of jungle prints, this dress really caught my eye. I love bodycon dresses for going out and the style of this one is really nice, fitting really well. The back is a bit see-through meaning I really would need a nude bra when wearing this out, but apart from that this dress is great. Again its from F21 (where else).

Finally is this outfit. To make a change, the kimono and sequinned top are from Hollister, and the lace bralet underneath is from Aerie. This kimono is so lovely and colourful and is great as a cover up on colder nights or over a backless dress/top. The sequinned top I found so cool (see sequin obsession above), but a little revealing for my liking. I got a couple of the bralets from Aerie, and they are great for putting under tops and dresses for a little extra coverage, if you don't want to reveal too much skin.

I had a really great time over in Minneapolis, and got so much more than this, which I will probably put up next time both Laura and I are free for another photoshoot.

Grace x
